A healthy metabolism is flexible, and can smoothly interchange between using glucose and fat (ketones) for fuel. Your metabolism is constantly seeking to restore balance despite what you eat, what you do (activity, exercise or lack thereof), and/or what is happening in the environment around you (air, water, ingested toxins etc). Overtime your metabolism can become sluggish, and your blood markers of health can begin to show signs of stress and imbalances may begin to appear.
Protein is absolute, and resetting your metabolism once or twice a year is a principle based approach to health and longevity that works for everyone regardless of your individual dietary preferences and/or restrictions.
Learn about food selection and preparation, the fundamentals of each macronutrient, along with their biochemical significance, and the core circadian rhythms that must be synchronized in order to achieve healthy longevity. The science of nutrition balances the use of natural, whole foods to support metabolic health, increase strength and flexibility, reset nutrient partitioning so muscle cells become sensitive to nutrients again, and more calories are used as fuel rather than stored as fat. Longevity pathways are activated with an emphasis placed on food quality rather than quantity alone, and blood markers of health such as blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol, triglycerides and fasting blood sugar levels are rebalanced.
A detailed discussion of your current dietary habits, lifestyle, bloodwork, medical history, health concerns and goals are paramount to the assessment process. A customized meal plan with accompanying recipes and shopping guide is provided, and through the process individuals learn the fundamentals of nutrition, exercise, stress management, and lifestyle choices that help create the foundation for healthy living. This includes the implementation of an immune supporting and anti-inflammatory meal plan to help restore essential balance and alkalinity.
The program offers clients insight into the state of their health and an opportunity to track their progress and to confirm, first hand, how well their choices are working to meet their needs. Clients are encouraged to use all information as an incentive to make the necessary nutritional and/or lifestyle changes they require to restore optimal health, and to take an active role in its successful management. Clients gain an understanding of the main reasons for the development of disease and how to make the necessary changes to either maintain or regain their health as they strengthen their immune system and gain an understanding of inflammation and its role in disease, autoimmunity and aging.
