Energy For Performance

As a former competitive athlete and head coach of the Sihlfisch swim team in Adliswil, Switzerland, Leanne is keenly aware of the special nutritional needs of the competitive athlete. Through Sports Nutrition, she helps clients apply, clearly and concisely, the science of nutrition to optimize their athletic performance. Emphasis is placed on the latest and scientifically validated information on sports nutrition, including the fitness food pyramid and maximizing energy for performance.

Each program provides an overview of the four components in food and drink that are capable of producing energy and how to maximize energy before, during and after exercise. Clients learn why different foods provide different amounts of energy and how to utilize this knowledge to improve recovery time and bring performance to the next level. Live blood cell microscopy screening is included, as well as a customized 28 day meal plan with easy to prepare recipes and a shopping guide, as well as both pre and post-workout meals and snacks. Through frequent visits with Leanne, clients gain an understanding of the relationship between immunity and performance, which foods contain the most immune-supporting properties, and how to combine these foods to best match caloric intake with expenditure.
